Our Vision and Approach

Adaptive approach

Recognising the rapidly evolving and volatile contexts in the MENA region and the ambitions we have set for ourselves, we seek to adopt an approach that is adaptive to local needs and the context. Through periodic learning reviews over the course of implementation, as well as an ongoing process of consultation with partners and other stakeholders, we aim to continually refine and adapt our approach and processes. For further information, please refer to the Nabni Theory of Change and watch the video below for Arabic facilitation with examples.

Our work is centred around three main pillars:

  1. Financing and partnerships – providing multi-year funding and developing equitable partnerships with local civil society actors in conflict and displacement affected communities in the MENA region. For further details, please refer to our Grant Allocation Manual .
  2. Technical assistance and capacity development – for partner local civil society actors to support delivery as well as supporting organisational priorities identified by them. For further details, please refer to the Technical Assistance and Capacity Development document .
  3. Knowledge exchange and learning – both between partner organisations and with a range of actors working on similar issues in the MENA region and beyond. For further details, please refer to the Knowledge exchange and learning document
